A girl with astonishing abilities of a lawyer, professor, and writer was born in 1962 and gained fame due to the development in economic, cultural conflict, and globalization, named “Amy Chua.” She was eight years old when her father, a famed computer scientist, got an appointment at the University of California Berkeley (UCB), and they shifted to the West Coast. Chua completed her “economics degree” from Harvard College in 1984. Later, she got her JD from Harvard Law School in 1987 and started her career in a corporate law firm. She started her teaching career at Duke Law School (DLS), and later she joined Yale Law School (YLC) faculty. Chua wrote three books on different themes; two explored the “ethnic conflicts” and “hyper-power” decline. Her first book was “World on Fire,” released in 2003, and in 2007 she wrote her second book, “Day of Empire.” She got more publicity importance when she published another book in 2011 named “Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother.” This book initiates squalls when she claims that Chinese mothers are superior to Americans (Chua Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother).

Washington Post published an article on 16th December 2007, in which they debated Chua’s report on immigration nuanced. In the immigration debate article, Chua’s focused on the language barrier and enlightened that “Miami” could feel like a foreign country if you cannot speak “Spanish” rather than ‘English.” Although “Miami” has only 65 percent of the “Spanish/Hispanic” population, and still all the other immigrants need to communicate in Spanish. However, El-Paso has a 76 percent population of Latino, and New York has 60 percent of immigrants from China. All these “States” are themselves foreign state due to a large number of immigrants.

From 50 states of America, “Chinatown” and “Little Italy” have got famous and are considered to be a part of America, where an entire business has done in Chinese, Arabic & Italian language. Chua’s has also highlighted the unseen picture of “Non-English” immigrants and “Native-English” identity.

Being asked about the American natives, they felt bad and got angry because they thought they were being treated as racist. American writer, “Bill O’Reilly” (BOR) criticized the deluge of non-English immigrants. Bill thoughts that they are a dangerous indicator for the “American’s Complexion” and swap the slogan “White Christian Male Power Structure.”(Jones)

Chua confirms that it’s painful when you are in your country and have to face racism and being questioned, and it is difficult to answer those constitutional questions. She also reported in her article that, to some extent, most people are attached to their motherland, but not everyone has the same spirit and emotions. So, how could we all be equal immigrants of America? Samuel Huntington gave the same direction and presaged that they are losing their culture, values, and legacy due to the excess number of non-English immigrants. Another American writer, “Huntington,” also tinted the fact, “What had been the United States of America?” And now, “where it’s going to?”

Chua’s family had once immigrated to America in 1961. Being an immigrant, everyone needs to set their own life to achieve their goals, starting from basic needs to self-esteem. Her family was so poor when they reached America, and they were even cannot able to shuttle from the winter storms. Chua’s started speaking in her mother language and learned English with her sister, and being punished with Chopsticks if Chua’s made spoken mistakes. From ‘Zero to Hero”, now Chua’s father is a famous computer scientist and professor at Berkeley, and Chua’s is also a professor at Yale Law School. Chua thinks that she could not be a Pro-immigrant after being a great success story.

Despite anything, Chua’s had a vision about Huntington’s point, as he has a valid point being native.

Due to the rise in immigrants, a nation has to face fierceness and unpredictability as a result of raising immigrants with different sects and religions. Chua’s criticized the “Muslims immigrants,” and she declared them a hotbed for terrorism. Chua’s picked the “France” incident with the wrong manifesto as there is no connection between terrorism with religion. Having riots in France, numerous anti-immigrant parties come out for the sake of their values.

Chua also criticizes “Third World Countries” that lost their identity due to the war & terror situation. She reported Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, and the Soviet Union, when they crumbled their nationalities and proved to be peaceful nations. Chua’s also mentioned the country name “Iraq,” which almost lost its identity due to the imbalance in groups such as Sunnis, Kurds, and Shiites.

Furthermore, Chua’s reported in her article that the US is not in any danger of disintegration because the United States has taken control over the opposing/divergent societies. She also mentioned the history of Rome, when Rome has cultural and political disintegration and the people of Rome strike against the government. This campaign occurred due to the “Germanic Immigrants” due to the different norms. So, concluding the scenario of the United States, Chua’s raised the question whether, should the US do close their borders and enlighten the slogan of Huntington’s “Anglo-Saxon Protest” core value.

After considering point of Huntington, Chua’s points out the mistakes of anti-immigrant parties. First, they should consider the aspect of building America and the key feature behind the wealth and power of America. Without the support of Italian, Polish, and Irish communities, the United States was poor in the agricultural and industrial sectors in the 19th century. European communities make the US able to an atomic power country. Nowadays, America and other countries are stepping ahead to the digital world, where immigrants play an important role in building America. For example, Intel co-founder – Andrew Grove, Sun Microsystem – Vinod Khosla, and Google – Sergey Brin all are immigrants who support America in-between 1995 to 2005. The United States adopted the same policies to hire foreign engineers and open their offices in different countries like Canada to get visa easily. Secondly, The Americans don’t have a structure like Europe enclaves that are famous for their uniqueness. Chua’s also reported that Huntington and Reilly imperil all this situation, as America itself is nothing.

After taking the points of Huntington & Reilly, Chua gives suggestions for the immigrants through which Americans would accept the immigrants with heartedly. She also focused on the point that immigrants should keep in mind while travelling to America is “Do Not Destroy the American Heritage.” For the well-being of immigrants, Chua’s gave five suggestions through which migrants can get accepted. The following recommendations are given below;

Chua’s focused on the admission system of the United States. As many immigrants started travelling through the admission visa, and later, they emphasized on work, instead of doing jobs and creating hurdles for other communists. Chua’s reported the figure that America granted immigration to 800,000 different migrants in 2006. However, only 70,000 immigrants were admitted on employment visas, and 65,000 migrants were granted immigration on highly skilled visa. She objects to the system in which when those migrants get US citizenship, then they call their families and siblings, which makes the system weaker and creates a social burden on the State.

“English” should be an official language for all migrants. Besides everything, American loves to speak more and more languages, but for immigrants, they should speak English & Spanish.

Migrants should follow the national virtues to be a part of a true citizens of the US. Chua’s reported in her article that Americans love to be a part of social work or being scouts.

Chua also throws the light of the phycological mindset, as being a citizen of the US, every migrant should pay/contribute to the social cause and give the same opportunities to other US natives. It should not happen as if you are Chinese, then offer opportunities to only Chinese. You/migrant should have the same mindset for all.

Migrants should come through the legal way and boycott the illegal ways and stop happening the terror through illegal travelling. It is the main reason to get the point for anti-immigrant parties.

In Chua’s article, “Right Road to America,” she started to raise the matter of language blockade and their conspiracy in the United States. Later she focused on the importance of Spanish & English (native) language in both aspects, of business & communication. Furthermore, Chua enlightens the significance of Americans’ attitude toward the migrants, as American thoughts immigrants are a dangerous indicator for the disintegration of their core values and identity. She also relates to the immigrant’s attitude with national identity as many “Third World Countries” have lost their identity due to the imbalance of social and religious imbalance. In the end, Chua’s gave the suggestions to the immigrants so that they could easily fit into that nation as everybody loves their norms and heritages. In a nutshell, Chua’s shows the “Right Road to America” for immigrants.
